Journalist Travel Reimbursement

* Travel Subsidy for registered journalists traveling in excess of 300 miles one way up to $150 based on approved actual travel costs.

• Journalists must attend all of their prescheduled appointments as well as their local tour.
• Reimbursement checks will be made available on 5 pm on September 23, 2010 to all qualified registered journalists who have attended their scheduled appointments and who registered and submitted their travel invoices prior to Friday, August 20, 2010.
• If you make your travel arrangements after August 20, 2010 you should still send your e-ticket or travel invoice in as soon as you receive it. We will try to process them by the event; however this may not be possible. If we are unable to process the travel invoices received after August 20, 2010 your check will be sent by mail after the show.
• If you use your frequent flyer miles to purchase your ticket you may still be eligible for the travel rebate of up to $150. Please confirm the amount of your rebate with Kim Ernst.
• Please email or fax e-tickets or travel confirmations with price to Kim Ernst.

Travel Information

As soon as your registration form has been approved please finalize your travel arrangements and forward your travel invoices to TMS. Due to the current market, you are free to book your transportation with a carrier of your choice. Journalists traveling to and from the John Wayne/Orange County Airport on September 21, 2010 and September 24, 2010 will be provided with complimentary shuttles. Shuttles will be provided by the Hyatt Regency Irvine Hotel and run every 30 minutes starting at the top of the hour.

If you choose to fly to any other destination you will be responsible for providing your own transportation to the Hyatt Regency Irvine, Irvine California.

Parking

There is a charge for parking at the Hyatt Regency Irvine. Parking will be charged to your room bill. Fees are as follows:

• Self Parking: $15.00 overnight
• Valet Parking: $20.00 overnight

Journalists NOT Attending Pre or Post Tours

Please book your flight so that you ARRIVE in the afternoon on September 21, 2010.

DEPARTURES are on the morning of September 24, 2010.

Journalists traveling to and from the John Wayne/Orange County Airport on September 21, 2010 and September 24, 2010 will be provided with complimentary shuttles.

Journalists attending a Pre-Tour

As soon as your registration form has been approved and you have received Pre Fam Trip confirmations please finalize your travel arrangements and forward your travel invoices to TMS. ARRIVAL should be on the afternoon on September 18, 2010. The Tour organizers will be responsible for your transportation to the Hyatt Regency Irvine from the area of your tour on September 21, 2010 for the start of Travel Media Showcase.

DEPARTURES will be on September 24, 2010. Journalists traveling to and from the John Wayne/Orange County Airport on September 24th will be provided with complimentary shuttle service.

Journalists Attending A Post-Tour

As soon as your registration form has been approved and you have received Post Fam Trip confirmation, please finalize your travel arrangements and forward your travel invoices to TMS. ARRIVAL should be on the afternoon on September 21, 2010. Journalists arriving at John Wayne/Orange County Airport on September 21, 2010 will be provided with complimentary shuttle service to the Hyatt Regency Irvine.

All post-tours will DEPART on September 24, 2010. Again, once you have been approved, you will be sent an itinerary with all of your departure information. The Tour organizers will be responsible for your transportation from the Hyatt Regency Irvine to the area of your tour. You will be responsible for making arrangements from the departure location once the tour is over.

Travel invoices

Reimbursement checks will be made available at 5 pm on September 23, 2010, to all registered journalists who have attended their scheduled appointments and who registered and submitted their travel invoices prior to August 20, 2010. Journalists who register or submit their travel invoices after August 20, 2010 will receive their check by mail after the show.

Other Modes of Travel

If a journalist finds it preferable to travel by another mode of transportation such as train, bus or car it still may be possible to claim a rebate*.

** Please note written authorization must be received to use an alternate mode of transportation. All requests must be emailed to Kim Ernst at journalists@travelmediashowcase.com. Approval to use an alternate mode of transportation will be acknowledged by email. Please email the following details, including price, to Kim for consideration.

** Also note, if you are taking alternate transportation to TMS 2010 you will be responsible for your own shuttle transportation to and from the Hyatt Regency Irvine.

Airport Shuttles

Airport Shuttles will be provided by the Hyatt Regency Irvine on September 21sr and September 24th. Shuttle service will be offered on a complimentary basis and will run every 30 minutes starting at the top of the hour.
