Journalist Registration is free and open to those who meet the following requirements.
An applicant must be actively working as a professional writer, publisher, editor, photographer, or broadcaster in the travel industry.
All applicants will be required to submit 4-6 clips or broadcast tapes from within the last 24-month period. Clips can appear in:
- Newspaper with a circulation over 40,000
- Magazine with a circulation over 20,000
- Website or blog sites with more than 10,000 absolute unique visitors (AUVs) per month
Applicants who attended Travel Media Showcase within the last two years will be required to include two (2) clips that are a direct result of the showcase they attended.
Website owners and bloggers will be required to verify AUVs and are encouraged to use a monitoring tool such as Google Analytics (which is free).
Applications will not be processed until 4-6 clips are received. Clips can be linked into the application itself, emailed or mailed to the Media Coordinator at Travel Media Showcase.
Once approved, journalists will be required to book their travel arrangements within a 30-day timeframe. If we do not receive your e-ticket confirmation by the 30-day deadline, TMS reserves the right to cancel the application,
thus making room for other qualified journalists to attend.
Last-minute cancellations will forfeit their right to apply for one full calendar year. No-shows will forfeit their right to apply entirely.
Journalists attending Travel Media Showcase must adhere to a professional code of conduct and professional attire at all TMS functions or will forfeit their right to apply entirely.
